MCDONALD COUNTY, Mo. — Five Anderson teens were involved in an accident early this morning that left one teen dead.
At 12:31 a.m., A vehicle driven by Austin Owens, 18, was westbound on Patterson Creek Road, two miles east of Tiff City when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Alison Duckett, 16, Trenton Lovatt, 15, and Owens received serious injuries and Maya Dally, 15, received minor injuries as a result of the crash. Lillian Wanders, 16, also of Anderson, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All of the teenagers, except Owens, were not wearing their seat belt.
