MERCER COUNTY, Mo. — One driver is dead and another seriously injured after a vehicle crash in Mercer County Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred just after 5:30 p.m. on Highway 65, about a mile North of Mercer. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol report, a northbound vehicle without headlights, driven by Gary L. Sexton, 64, of Liberty, crossed the center line and hit a southbound RV and towed SUV driven by Merlin Hall, 71, of State Center, Iowa. Hall’s vehicle went off the roadway and overturned.
Sexton was pronounced at the scene. Hall was transported to a Wayne County, Iowa, Hospital.
