JACKSON COUNTY, Mo. – The Missouri Highway Patrol investigated a three vehicle crash with a fatality in Jackson County just before 2:00 this afternoon.
According 
to the crash report, a westbound vehicle on 50 Highway, driven by Mary L. Cassidy, 83, of Pleasant Hill, drove into the eastbound lanes around Harris Road. Cassidy first collided head on with a vehicle driven by Susan Dyke, 61, of Harrisonville. Cassidy’s vehicle then struck a second vehicle driven by Timothy Long, 49, of Odessa, head on.
Cassidy was pronounced dead at the scene. Long has been transported by EMS, to Centerpoint Hospital with moderate injuries.
