LAFAYETTE COUNTY, Mo. — A North Carolina man is dead after a one vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Lafayette County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol report says an eastbound pickup driven by Leroy Jenkins, 59, of Stanley, N.C., traveled off the roadway around 11am Tuesday morning, March 16, 2021. The vehicle went down an embankment and struck a utility pole.
Despite wearing a seat belt, Jenkins was seriously injured and died later at Centerpoint Hospital.
