MERCER COUNTY, Mo. — A Mercer resident is dead after a crash three miles East of Princeton in Mercer County Friday afternoon.
The report from the Missouri Highway Patrol says a grain truck following a combine pulled out to pass and hit a bridge rail. The truck driven by 47 year old Gregg W. Widner came off the bridge rail, crossed the roadway and overturned off the south side of the roadway.
Widner, who was not wearing a seat belt according to the report, was ejected from his truck and died at the scene.
