SEDALIA, MO – Formal charges have been filed against two Sedalia residents who were accused following the death of a juvenile.
A probable cause statement says, Jacob Howe, 16, died after a night of “partying.” That is according to the suspects in the case, who are charged with abandonment of a corpse without notifying authorities. Court documents suggest, Gary McKinsey, and Kricket Dhority are both charged after officers responded to Bothwell Hospital August 4 where the deceased individual was transported. Authorities say Mckinsey, Dhority, and a third person, deposited the body and left the hospital.
The suspects indicated Howe consumed a brand of oxycodone which is known to cause respiratory problems or death when combined with alcohol. Arraignments were scheduled for this week.
