UPDATE: 12/31/18, 4:11 p.m. — The names of the victims of the double homicide in Moberly have been released.
According to a Monday news release from Moberly Police, the subjects have been identified as Darren Stacey Tharp, 51, and Shane Austin Hare, 24, both of Columbia.
The Randolph County Coroner has ruled the deaths as homicide and the autopsies on both subjects was performed Monday morning by the Boone County Medical Examiner.

MOBERLY, Mo. — A homicide investigation is underway in Moberly.
According to a press release from Saturday evening, Moberly Police were contacted about a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of Concannon St.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two male subjects inside of the vehicle, both dead from gunshot wounds.
Neither subject has been positively identified, according to the release. The investigation is ongoing, and the Moberly Police Department is using all available resources in the investigation.
