ATCHISON COUNTY, Mo. – A Tarkio resident died in a one vehicle crash in Atchison County around 5:45 Friday afternoon.
The
Missouri Highway Patrol crash report says Thomas L. Smith, 41, was northbound on Route O, two miles South of Westboro, when his vehicle crossed the roadway, ran off the left side and struck an embankment. The vehicle spun around, struck the embankment a second time and impacted a ditch. The vehicle overturned, partially ejecting Smith.
Smith was pronounced dead at the scene.
