CLAY COUNTY, Mo. – One inmate is dead, two others and four Clay County Jail employees hospitalized after a suspected Fentanyl exposure Friday 
evening.
A press release says the inmates began showing symptoms around 6:20 p.m. and staff began to render life saving measures. Several area ambulance were called to transported the victims to a local hospital. A 36 year old male was pronounced deceased. The others are expected to recover.
An investigation is underway.
