COLUMBIA, Mo. – One driver is dead after a head on collision in Columbia Saturday afternoon. According to the Columbia Police Department,
Jordan Hoyt,
37, was hit in the southbound lane of West Boulevard near Prospect Street just after 2:30 p.m. yesterday. The northbound vehicle that crossed the center line was driven by Lukas Evans, 20, also of Columbia. Police believe Evans was fleeing from a hit and run crash on Stadium Boulevard, when he pulled out to pass slow traffic.
Hoyt died at a local hospital.
