JOHNSON COUNTY, Mo. – One person from Kansas City is dead and another in serious condition after a one vehicle crash in Johnson County Saturday afternoon.
The Missouri Highway 
Patrol says speed was a factor when Amanda R. Sanders, 26, traveled off 58 Highway near Southwest 200 Road and overturned several times. Sanders, who was not wearing a seat belt, died after being ejected when the vehicle struck several trees. The report says her passenger, Daniel E. Vanartsdalen, 36, was also not wearing a seat belt.
Vanartsdalen was flown to Research Medical Center for treatment.
